(TheSpread) - The 2010-11 NHL Season is about halfway complete and the odds to win the 2011 Eastern Conference Championship have been updated. Here is a look at which team is favored. The Pittsburgh Penguins are the favorites to win the championship according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. The Penguins have 9/5 odds while other short odds to win are Washington (11/4), Philadelphia (3/1), and Boston (4/1). Pittsburgh would be the fourth seed in the East if the playoffs started today as they have 53 points and are tied with the Flyers for the lead in the Atlantic Division. The Penguins have scored 127 goals and allowed just 94. Washington would be the fifth seed in the playoffs as they have 52 points and trail Tampa Bay by one point in the Southeast Division. The Capitals have scored 120 goals and allowed 107. The Flyers are tied with Pittsburgh with 53 points but have played one less game. Philadelphia is tied for the lead for goals scored in the conference with 131 while it has allowed 104. The Bruins have 48 points on the season but they lead the Northeast Division by three points.
